Frameclad Supporting Team GB at the Olympic Games
The crew here at Frameclad like to ‘pack a punch’ with our strong and energetic approach, we are therefore extremely proud to announce that we are getting into the ring to support English amateur boxer, Lewis Richardson at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
We are sponsoring Lewis's limited-edition T-Shirts alongside specialist contractor and Frameclad client, Datum Group Ltd.
Lewis began boxing as a means to keep fit while playing football but switched his full attention to the ring after winning the 2012 National School Championships.
He missed out on qualification for Tokyo 2020 following a series of stress fractures in his back at 2018 but a standout 2022 included middleweight silver at the European Championships and Commonwealth Games bronze.
But his dreams came true at the final Boxing Olympic Qualifier, punching his ticket to Paris 2024 by winning his light middleweight fight with Puerto Rico’s Angel Gabriel Llanos Perez via a unanimous decision.
Update 05/08/2024
Lewis has just defeated Zeyad Eashash in the men's 71kg quarter-final and this victory means the Team GB boxer is guaranteed at least a bronze medal - well done Lewis!
The semi-finals are taking place tomorrow and Lewis will now face Mexico's Marco Alonso Verde Alvarez – I am sure you will join us in wishing Lewis best of luck!
