Northampton This technically challenging project involved the initial removal of a traditional pitched roof from a four story 1980’s Social Housing Accommodation Block and the subsequent installation of two new load-bearing stories plus the associated supporting Hot Rolled Steel grillage, new external lift shaft and associated landing areas.

Located in a prominent area of Edinburgh the scheme consisted of 3 blocks of student accommodation. Frameclad supplied all of the frames and floor cassettes to form the three-storey structure. The developer was keen to use some of the previous buildings stonework which were incorporated in the external cladding of the cottage building.

Concord Street, Leeds Concord Street is an exciting new build 9 storey apartment block in central Leeds. 35 apartments with a mix of 1 and 2-bed accommodation procured through modern, off-site construction via Frameclad.

A very challenging site has led the design team to look at minimising time and construction activities onsite and through a full BIM approach, the coordination of architecture, structures and Frameclad has allowed careful and detailed positioning options to be looked at.

Located in a coastal location, this was a conversion of an existing 3 storey concrete frame building into 9 townhouses. Frameclad provided the SFS infill to form new external walls to the existing levels then added a self-supporting top floor with SFS to give additional floor space to the scheme. Due to the restrictive nature of the site and the need to keep the new loadings of the upper floor to a minimum, SFS was the ideal solution for the developer.

Frameclad manufactured all of the internal/external frames for these two interlinked block five-storey residential development. Floors were constructed from lattice joists and also balcony cassettes were supplied to sit inside a hot rolled frame. Access was limited and due to the busy site location deliveries had to be carefully coordinated and time slots hit.
